What is National Geographic

National Geographic, formerly the National Geographic Magazine, is the official journal of the National Geographic Society. It published its first issue in 1888, just nine months after the Society itself was founded. There are 12 monthly issues of the National Geographic per year, plus additional map supplements. The Magazine is available in its traditional printed edition on paper, or through an interactive digital edition, available online. On occasion, special editions of the Magazine are issued. It contains articles about geography, popular science, history, culture, current events, and photography.

How to Cancel Your National Geographic Subscription

You may contact National Geographic by e-mail or phone at 800-NGS-LINE (1-800-647-5463). National Geographic will promptly stop your service and issue a refund for any unmailed copies.

If you canceled your subscription, but are still receiving bills, please note that it takes a few days for a cancellation to become effective. Therefore, if you receive any invoices after you have canceled, please ignore them. If you ordered through an agent (e.g., Publishers Clearing House or New Sub Services), you should also check with that agent to ensure that your cancellation request was received and processed.
